There's a short list of who would qualify. My candidates:
Princess Anne, of course. You cannot get more royal or loyal than Anne. She's also a full-timer.
The Duke of Kent, who retired from Wimbleton and is slowing down but who has a lot to offer in the wisdom department.
The Earl and/or Countess of Wessex. Royal, loyal, discreet, energetic and still many years of service ahead of them.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. They have come into their own over the last few years.
The Duke of Gloucester. After decades of loyal service to the monarch an advisory role would take advantage of his experience.
The Duchess of Gloucester. I put her separate from the Duke because I have no idea if this is something that she would be interested in.
Prince Michael, Prince Andrew and Prince Harry are on the no list.
