Burrell stated that Diana told him she was meeting with Bashir to sharpen her interviewing skills. He later said that the day of the filming of the actual interview she dismissed him and told him to go home that weekend to his family and that she wanted him to check in on them so he said he went. When he returned on Monday, he said he noticed the furniture had been moved and that she told him she had did some yoga and didnt move the furniture back.
Apparently only Bashir and one camera person came into Kensington to film the interview and the editing took place in Brighton as Bashir and the producer of Panorama were afraid to do the editing at a BBC studio and they contracted someone from the north who went to Brighton to edit the final version.
I would love to see the actual unedited version as the camera editor stated he took out several statements that Diana made about the Queen Mother and HM the Queen.
