In all honesty, this should have been handled immediately and the problem nipped in the bud. It does look like retribution for the investigation to start years later, but truthfully it doesn't bother me. Now the world can see how the palace machine tried to protect Meghan from herself to the point of her losing good employees.

I'm predicting a slow motion cascade of investigations and revelations that put the Harkles in a very negative light, but it will just be their own words and actions coming back to bite them.
