"Queen Jetsun Pema of Bhutan has ordered that measures be put into place to help domestic violence victims now that a new lockdown has been put into place in the Asian kingdom. The Queen’s request was announced on her and King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck’s social media pages.

The announcement said that Her Majesty is “deeply concerned by the number of domestic violence and abuse cases that were reported during Bhutan’s first lockdown in August.”

Queen Jetsun is a real asset to her husband and to Bhutan.
