I've always said that Monarchies adapt to all circumstances when they have to or if they won't or are unable to, they don't survive. A slimmed down Monarchy under Charles will work and I have to agree in our times, the public will be tend to be more in favor of it as opposed to, it happening in much earlier times, I think.
The thing with Andrew's situation is, even if it was proven without a doubt of Andrew's innocence of the allegations leveled at him, there's still no way he could ever return to royal duties. The stigma would still remain with him because of the poor decision he made by being a friend of Jeffrey Epstein.
The same with the Sussexes only different circumstances. They labeled the UK as racist and bullying so they had to leave the "intolerable" atmosphere. They weren't popular before and between Megxit and the book, even if they were to return, they would have to do works of magic to regain the public's liking and confidence so royal duties would be extremely difficult for them, maybe not impossible as with Andrew, but it would take a stretch.
All three were fools and made stupid decisions.
This article makes it known that if Harry AND Meghan decide to return to the UK and the Royal Family, they would be welcome. Everything I've read by other Royal commentators until this article have stated that if Harry came back to the Royal Family, he would be welcomed.......no mention of Meghan. This is why I think this is a Sussex PR piece plus it comes on the heels of the blasting of Harry's op-ed by comments on the DM and others.
Whenever the Sussexes are roundly criticized in the media and/or the public, an article soon appears gushing about how Harry is his father's, or late mother's or the Queen's favorite, followed by how the Royals are struggling without the Sussexes.
