Rosa has a point. It's a perfect deflection for the Govt. right now. Since the Covid crisis struck, the present Govt. has faced severe criticism from the public over its handling of the pandemic. Now it faces a catastrophic economic situation, it's not too hard to figure out why the financial storm with Juan Carlos was suddenly brought to the forefront. In fairness, it wouldn't have mattered if the Govt. was in a left or right majority ruling, anyone in power would use the former King as a scapegoat to hold up to the public to deflect from the other dire problems.
I'm not absolving JC of any guilt, he's up to his neck in wrongdoing, financially and morally, going by the investigation. The investigation was on the "back burner" so to speak until the present Govt. started receiving backlash and blame for the pandemic.
