What carbs do you rely on the most, for daily meals?
For example: Breads - sweet or not, Rice, Pasta, Potatoes, or....?
While I love sweet potatoes, I don't rely on them, as I don't get as many as I'd like. Same with regular potatoes. I used to rely on them, and loved them, but they are out of my diet these days, so...
The answers for me are:
Rice - the lower glycemic index Minute variety;
My Flatbread, which acts as my bread, as well as other bread foods that I make with the same dough, such as biscuits, and even cinnamon rolls.
And, masa. I've mentioned before that I can make it into stovetop tamales, make it into a good side if using broth, use it as 1/2 of my baking mix, use it for cornbread, and tortillas, of course, etc. It's still not in stock yet, btw.
And finally, pasta. I don't use it all the time, but do love pasta dishes. I like spaghetti, use smaller pasta in soups or with chili, like one-skillet meals with sausage, or meat with various flavor profiles, etc.
Oh, and my Pad Thai noodles, which I use in ramen-like soups, and chicken soup, or in my Asian noodle dish.
How about you?
