What are your daily snacks?
I've been trying to set aside snacks as I'm shopping so little.
If I'm lucky, I make flat bread. Then, pop the pieces into the freezer for when needed. If I have that, I can eat it with Sunbutter.
I also use the tiny snack bags for items. Recently, I have been raiding my store of raisins, a certain amount each day. They have some nutritional value, and are sweet, which I sometimes need for my blood sugar.
Some days I have black olives for bulk, though they aren't nutritionally that great.
I will make chicken legs sometimes, or save a little meat from dinner for a snack. I'll eat meat and chicken cold, so that works.
I like a mug of broth, or soup if I have something to put in it, when we have enough made. I need to make extra for that, though, as I freeze it for meals, such as dinners. If we are having soup, I can take a bag out to begin it, or Asian noodle dish, or gravy, etc.
Truthfully, I'm drawing a blank on any other snacks that I've had recently. I, unfortunately, will eat a cookie or muffin if I make them, which is why I try not to make them too often. Cornbread is good, too, as a snack.
My problem is that, even if I have certain foods, some foods need to be eaten with other foods for me. So, not as good for a snack.
This does remind me that I have chicken legs in the freezer, though!
How about you?
