I still don't have my clothes and other things from MN storage. SIGH!
I am running out of clothes and my budget just won't allow replacements of anything. Good thing I can't go anywhere. So it's sweats and baggy jeans. LOL I feel like a real OLD HIPPIE.
I have one pair of expensive jeans that I wear with my various office jackets for appointments etc. LOL How the mighty have fallen. Roflol.
Yesterday, I had a chicken pot pie for breakfast. I have enough mussy avocado in the freezer that has no taste.. Haas with no taste? I put a bit of lemon juice in it but the consistency is weird.
Thankfully I have the IPF order coming on the 30th. Schwans won't be till 1/7/2022.
But I did have s turkey sandwich, no cheese on a Brioche bun - love them - for lunch.
Dinner was Stovetop stuffing, sliced beets with butter and the last Chicken Kiev. Pretty good actually.
This morning I may make a BLT for breakfast.
More FOG this morning, very day is gray. I am having to triple my vit D. I noticed while still taking only 1 1000 pill that my finger & toe nails were breaking. Upped to 2 1000 pills and a bit better. But I went to 3 and my nails are ok again.
I wish someone had know how low my vit D was as a kid. Perhaps I might not have gotten MS. Living in Texas means patients with experience are not heeded as if they could not understand their own body. SHeesh! Oh well.
Anyway, I have just mixed up my latest batch of Folgers reg coffee with the same amount of Folgers Decalf coffee. I have 6 lbs of coffee that will last me quite a while. I use a canning jar to hold a weeks worth with it's own spoon.
Oh, I ran out of coffee filters a few months ago and bought a new batch. Ended up with 300 filters. LOL! My new ($12) free coffee pot - thank you kind lady - is really great.
You know how coffee grounds may run over a filter's top and so there are grounds in the pot. well, this coffee pot has a totally closed basket for the filter and the drip is ground proof.
Question just how much stuff do you compost?
I do egg shells, coffee grounds and all veggie bits and pieces, lemons, limes, and other fruit skins. Carrots & apples cores and skins. No canned foods - preservatives Ugh!
I save bread bags and store them in my bathroom. I use one for TP then each morning when I clean the cat box - add that to the TP bag for that day. I then tie the bag shut and toss in the trash.
Everything else from the kitchen goes in a small 4 gal trash bag and is where I put meat items, non paper items, etc.
I have a larger bagless black trash can in the laundry room where I toss, cans, boxes, and other recyclables. I wash everything free of food. That all goes in the Trash can sans bags. The trash company recycles all of it that is possible. Soon I will be cutting small boxes up and tossing in that in that trash can.
Since I received my 20' x 14' tarp for Boys flat trailer I will begin to cut all my chewy, amazon and other large boxes down into manageable sizes.
Cutting a the seams of course. Hopefully that will allow me to layer similar sized pieces together. I won't just toss boxes on the trailer. I need to use space wisely.
I have to admit I was depressed before and up to Xmas. Same old, same old, every year. But once past th "holiday" I get back to be up again. Physically & Mentally. Weird huh!
I have not done any weeding. Fog makes it all so wet. The sun is never out long enough to dry the yard, Luckily my Ddil gave me a pair of yard shoes - you found on sale. Now we both have matching waterproof yard shoes.
I have DD's suede fur lined boots my mother bought her. Mine boots are all in MN. So DD is giving me her clothes that were at my mothers after died.
Now I have some new Tees to wear with my cargo pants. LOL. But the boots really help - even with the holes in the toe. I have long toes and the boots are a hair to small. But thank heavens I have them.
Not sure what the weather will be like in January. God helps us if there is a repeat of the Freeze storm this past february.
Well, this sure became a very wordy post.
Oh a really nice thing happened. My fave cousins brother and I have clicked. Boy is it wonderful to have a family member to talk to. He is the last of his branch of the family. His sister - who I miss long with my aunt - are both gone. And I am the last female of my family's branch. (Two brothers still alive. They do not like me.)
Haven't herd from Boy. Hopefully he is not in contact with anyone with Covid. I think he was ill advised to go to the Philippines now. for a number of serious reasons. Well praying them come home safe & sound.
I have a call into my Drs office to find out when I can get my Covid Booster. If I had a car I might be able to get it in town. Living rural, as your know can be difficult at times.
Well, have a great week... I receive DD's Royal Scotsman train DVD today and will watch it taking notes for future discussions with her. Tomorrow I mail the box.
Alright it's 7:15am and the sun is not out.. there is some light but it is very grey outside - FOG!
Have a good one.
Ta Ta!
