This was a quietish food week, except that we did get some meat - hooray! Not the amount that I need for my meals, but some, which is better than none!
I made burritos on Saturday, and they were good. We will have them again tonight.
I also made cookies from my bread dough last night. They are chocolate-cardamom. I have packets of sugar-in-the-raw...those brown, kind of large crystals. The packets look like the type that you put into your coffee. When I needed 'cookie sugar' (for the tops of sugar cookies.) last year, these packets came out to a lot less than a bag, for some reason, so I have those.
I've learned that for small-medium cookies, 1 packet covers 4, so 4 packets for 16 cookies, which is a batch of these.
Have I mentioned that I love the upright mandolin? I need to show it to you, because it's so different. Heading to look for a photo...

You will note that the blade isn't close to your hand when you are working, and the hand strength isn't the same as others.
Oddly, I paid less than what they are showing now for their big sale...but, I bought it off-season, and had only 2 color choices. But, I would gladly have less color choices for a much better deal.
