How often do you prefer a store brand, or other 'off brand' to the name brand of a food?
When I could still eat anything from the supermarket, I actually preferred some of the store brands.
But, some things I didn't play games with. For example, brands other than Campbell's for concentrated soups, especially the 'cream of' soups that you might use in another dish. Not the same at all.
I felt the same way about a lot of dairy products, such as cottage cheese, cream cheese, etc.
And, often chocolate. I would eat whatever chocolate was in my house, but brands do make a big difference with taste, and sometimes texture.
There were others, but you get the idea.
