I like the new code!
As I've said before, I have been amazed by the rewiring that the brain is capable of. I have an update on ours.
Remember that Ds and I were doing a brain rewiring program from a special DVD? It's for people with serious reactions to common things that aren't usually a problem. Just to canaries like us.
We did this a couple of years ago, and were supposed to do it daily for 6 months. With everything going on, we didn't do it more than a month.
However, we both improved. We want to start over and follow it through for 6 months.
Apparently, the limbic system considers some everyday things, such as scents, as a threat and over-reacts. That causes some major reactions which are physical, and can require hospitalization and treatments, not to mention avoidance of a lot of things.
The items still aren't healthy to be around, but the goal is to be able to be in their presence without having a seizure or other serious reaction, not to be around them a lot, say in your home.
We both still have problems with some things, but not all that we did. We still expect a reaction, and are thrilled when we don't always have one.
For example, Ds was having a problem going into stores at the holidays, because they infused the air with fake, pinecone-scent. That's not healthy for anyone to breathe in, but he wasn't able to drive home after being affected.
After working to rewire the pathway that had been created, he doesn't feel great after being around it, but if he keeps it kind of brief, he can do it, and is able to drive.
Sometimes those pathways just need to be changed.
Do you think that you had the beginning of your MS problem at a much younger age, before you came on to it full blown?
Clinically speaking, it is interesting. But, I wish that we could be studying it from afar, and not because you have it...
I wish that you could find boots from where you are, just so that you don't have to worry or suffer. :-(
Okay, off to post more, before I end up offline.
