Then boil in chicken stock.
I like good sweet Italian sausages. Sliced lengthwise or chop in pieces. Brown in a frying pan. Slice sweet onions add to sausage in frying pan.
Add some of the cabbage, season with S & P (cracked), fennel, dill, etc.
Retain balance of cabbage and most of broth for soup. Set aside
I also serve potatoes.. baked or chopped and browned with sausage. You can Add carrots, etc.
I also have horseradish or mustard on the side.
Serve with biscuits or a green salad.
I might add more stuff of course. Lol
Oh yeah Rye Bread or pumpernickle bread for me with butter instead of biscuits.
