We did eat at Italian restaurants - delicious, but not where pizza was available, or else it was on the menu, and I wasn't aware of it.
You were lucky, indeed!
In fact, I was thinking about a pizza with my manioc for the crust. Once upon a time, we used this for pizza crust, once we went gf (I have the best recipe for a real pizza crust using regular flour. It's easy, especially if one has a food processor, and some packets of yeast!, and it was excellent.
So, I was thinking about it, and came up with - for Dh, mine would be modified - a sub. sauce, then top with the following: homemade sausage meat which I used to put on pizza sometimes, cheese, and veges of choice. We often used onions, peppers, and olives. But really, anything.
I want to get back to our Friday 'diner meals,' and our Saturday 'dinner and a movie' nights, we just haven't been doing them.
We can just watch DVD's on Saturday night - Dr. Who, Sherlock Holmes, etc. or actually watch a movie if one comes on. I don't really get movie channels, so I'm better off renting, or hoping that one just happens to come on AMC or somewhere.
Ds mentioned us getting Netflix, like they have, but honestly, we won't be able to keep up, even if you can keep them as long as you like. We are better off just watching what we own, or renting a single movie from town if we really want something.
Of course, I think that we need a new DVD player. for Dh's birthday we watched a pair of movies which were a part 1 and 2, and it was painful. It kept freezing etc.
Anyway, I digress, but I was thinking of the homemade pizza, now that there's crust material. Perfect to eat with a movie or T.V. show! :-)
I think of you every time I see capicola (sp?) on T.V.!
