I was thinking about apples, as the season is nearly upon is, and wondered what all you like to do with them?
I don't eat them raw anymore, but I like to cook some cut up apples in a pan for various uses. Different sizes for different uses.
If you eat a vanilla or cinnamon ice cream, small dice is good on ice cream.
Now that I have manioc bread...and with a tweak to the recipe can make a decent biscuit now ...I am thinking a cobbler. Wouldn't that be a tasty Halloween treat?
Apple pie, too, of course.
I make apple muffins, apple bread, apple cake, apple coffee cake/crumb cake, etc.
Apple sauce.
Baked apples.
Savory dishes with apples...it can be pork chops or chicken.
My apple-blueberry sauce.
And, this year, I'm trying apple chips in the air cooker! I read that, after you core them, you can put them on a spirulizer to get them thin enough. Cinnamon or not, your choice. I enjoy apple chips, so this sounds like a good homemade snack to me, and less costly than bagged.
If I was making ice cream, I'd make apple-cinnamon ice cream. Maybe my ice cream maker will show up, and I can make it every 2 months, after shopping.
How about you?
