Sundays roast beef, pork roast... always something that will provide lunches or a dinner of leftovers.
The rest of the week can be meatloaf, pork chops, stew, and so on. But always formal.. no good china, rather everyday china.
Easter was baked ham with pineapple slices with cherries in the center. Sauce on ham mustard based.
Spaghetti & meatballs one night.
Baked or fried chicken one night
Sat might be pizza, etc. Dad fell in love with Mexican food so cooked tacos, enchiladas.
Sunday was church and Big Donut donuts.
Saturday grilled cheese & tomato soup
Or tuna sandwiches with soup
Mac n cheese is another sat meal
Hot roast beef or turkey sandwiches with gravy.
There are more I just can't recall them.
But I used to cook the same meals for my kids.
Talk about conditioning training. 8-)
Adult bdsys maybe shrimp cocktail or even lobster.
Italian heros from an Italian Deli... the real thing. And the pizzas.
Soups & salad nights during the summer.
Burgers on Sat.
Welsh rare bit on Fridays or Saturdays.
Cabbage rolls, another week day meal.
Chinese meals... from China town in NJ or MI
So much food. Lol I stayed skinny and could put away 3 plates, more then my brothers could.
