I would love to make flour tortillas... my corn ones were always epic fails. But I just have to rest some in this heat.
But I am often up at 1am or even 3am... I work hard to not be up in the middle of the night. My neck - knock on wood - has been better the last few days, but before that. OWIE! OWIE!.

Sorry you are dealing with such high temps. Every year before this one the temps were more like yours. But this year it is a gift very few 100's. So far that is.
How wonderful you are able to enjoy your candy. Yes a small bite can be refreshing. My flavored sparkling water works that way for me. A swallow or three makes a big difference and is a taste treat.
I have sugar as normal and my BS seems to be just fine. I have problems with my neck what causes problem with my BP. I really hope Dr W finds a cause or can give me some advice.
I'm taking vit E but so far no benefits. Once this bottle is done I won't buy more. Dr K was either or about it.
I do eat a regular amount of Peanut butter weekly. When not hungry and have to eat something it is better then not eating at all.

I fixed pork fixed small portions of pork fried rice. But I also buy shrimp pieces for shrimp fried rice. I add lots of veggies.
I have had enough strawberries for this week for 3 or 4 days of 7. But lack of avocados hurt my menu.
I still have some of my Black & Blue muffins in the freezer yet. (Berries of course)
I had a can of soup of chicken with white and wild rice. Not bad I think I will try some of Amy's soups this next buying trip. Campbells is very watery. But I love their tomato so bought 8 cans of that.
I need to use up my 2 dozen beef tamales and make my soup - it's perfect for warm weather. Now that I have my blender I hope to make green pea and carrot soup. But I only have two boxes of chicken broth left. So needs lts more.
I am trying very hard to stay away from cheese. I eat way too much. I did order some swiss and cheddar from my fresh food delivery. Also sliced american from Schwans. The kids gave me some american off brand they got from the free food in SA. Yuck.. well it's not that bad but I will use it slowly. Tilimook (sp?) is the brand from the fresh food place. They do try to offer more healthy foods and give food ideas etc.
I have been eating a 1/4 of a pizza once in a while. Chicken, pork chops and sweet italian ground sausage. I will use sausage in spagetti.
Lots of veggies... I make stews often. Rice and pasta I cut back on but am back to eating more of now. I think I am gaining weight. I lost so much muscle. SAD!.
I love beans but been off them as well. I don't know what is going on with my appetite. Losing as much as I have was scary... my clothes hang on me.
I hope I am on the way back. to more normal. Aging sucks! If that is the problem. I walk and work
enough to keep healthy... so what is wrong?
I have no clue. Stress yes, especially with our friend. I am glad she is not calling as much as she did... nor as much as I did. On top of the rest of the problems I think it was the finale push to chaos.
I am also trying to stay away from as much corn as I was eating. I have broccoli, green beans of all kinds, etc. Love salads... so I maybe on the way back to what... Normal???
My mind has been messed up - just too many problems - some not even mine. But god news on the boy front they checked his heart and it is good. EKG etc. It is his BP that is concerning them. I share what info I can but he has to go get some dietary help, which the VA is scheduling. Thank God!
Well, I have to go eat my lunch. It's 2pm - I have some juice and applesauce when I get up. I'm trying to no earlier then 5am. Then I have breakfast at 10am... after hanging clothes, have fed everyone else. Hot am chores... depends on the day. Etc.
So Lunch is 2pm..today I have leftover tuna sandwich with pickle spears, a salad thingy.. sliced tomatoes or romaine onions, etc. simple.
First thing I have taken to drinking black tea - Lipton's - very hard to find, but I have a number of small boxes on hand. Coffee only with breakfast. Dinner is when I get hungry... sometimes late as 10pm sometimes from 6 to 8pm.
I best go check my bp & BS then have my leftovers. 8-)
Oh this morning early I felt and heard a BOOM - whatever the impact hit the wall behind my headboard. Woke Charlie right up as well. There is a company that sets of dynamite once in a while. I think that is what it was. Still scary.
Ok off for lunch. Then maybe in 2 or 3 hours ball & a walk with Charlie.
