I hope that I can corn this meat, and make it taste like a real corned beef, since my last attempt was an utter failure.
But, I'm willing to try again because it's one of my favorite things, and it would be great to finally have it aain. I began having it for Christmas Dinner about 37ish years ago.
Any excuse to have it though.

They have gotten ridiculously expensive at the store here. At St. Patrick's Day, Ds said that the one that he looked at was cost prohibitive.
If mine comes out, I will share the recipe with you, and maybe that would be something that you can do yourself.
Basically, you make a brine with various things in it, and keep the brisket in it for 7-10 days...depending on who you ask, in the fridge. Then rinse it, and boil as usual with spices, and then vegetables, voila!
