But, one thing that I did get, was a nice, thin, (2 lb.) brisket. Ds got one also, and we're planning to wait until we are both ready, and corn them into corned beef!
I once (many years ago.) tried to make homemade corned beef, but it didn't come out at all. One of my bigger food failures.
But, I'm ready to try again, and so is he. It would be so nice if it worked! If it does, we can go back to our 2ce a year corned beef, yeah!
We used to have it for Christmas dinner, St. Patrick's Day, and sometimes a 3rd time on Easter, baking it like a ham after boiling the day ahead.
Corning will require 7-10 days.
Also in buffalo ranch news, they got a new butcher...thank goodness. Dh was up in arms about the problems with the one that they had. They used to have one here, but changed to one in Wyoming, I think.
Now, they have bought another ranch for buffalo, in Wyoming, and have changed to what we hope is a better butcher. The meat is frozen, but what little we got looks good. We'll really know once we use it.
Well, off to make some food, and wait for the lunar eclipse. I will probably go to bed, and set an alarm.
