I almost listed a Mexican restaurant, too, but couldn't remember it's name either. It was in the valley...Encino?...and it was the same. Huge burrito on a plate that you had to eat with a knife and fork. It was amazing. It reminds me a lot of the one that you are describing. Huge, flour tortilla, on plates....delicious!
I find that the holes in the wall were some of the best places. I have a list of those, but only know a couple of their names. I knew where they were, though! :-)
Yes, Tiny Naylor's!
It sounds like your son really knows how to man a grill!
What do you like best at home bbq's? I like just about everything grilled, from burgers and chicken, to ribs and hotdogs.
For sides, I love potato salad, a little macaroni salad, that tomato-cucumber-pepper salad, beans if having hotdogs, well, just about everything. It's been a while since I've had a bbq, with the fire danger the past few years.
Ds has spoken about them coming over for one, but we looked recently, and our grill is in sad condition. I'm not sure it's worth bringing up. Both because it may not be worth using at this point, and because it's not safe to bbq anymore, unless it's winter, or raining!
Ds and I want to make some Applewood smoked salt. It's expensive to buy, but we have cuttings from our older apple trees, and salt, so it makes sense to just make our own. But, again, only if fire danger is low, and the bbq is still useable.
Well, enough of that. I've got to eat and take pills. It got late this morning! Have a great day!
