I saw a recall of spaghetti and meat sauce this past week. It is exactly what I am always talking about. They recalled it because soy products were accidentally introduced into it. I imagined if I'd carefully read the ingredients, contacted the company, and was told that it was safe to eat, then got anaphlaxia when I did. Sheesh.
I also went to buy some cumin seeds this week, because I used the last of mine in chili. I chose brand that I like, but hesitated to get it without reading every word on the packaging. And, it said in small letters on the back: Allergen alert - These seeds are processed with soy, wheat, corn...and something else that I don't remember. Yikes. At least it's on the label, though, which is helpful. A lot of companies don't do it.
Yes, she will probably have an allergy test. That's how we found out for sure that Ds is allergic to shellfish, like his dad. Because we didn't have it in the house, he didn't care about it one way or the other, so we missed signs that he had the allergy to them.
Yes, but the water is super low now. I need them refilled. Today, the chickens were out of water, and the polliwogs were more in mud than water at one end of the pond.
Ds called, and said that he had to be out, and would be trying driving. Thankfully, after explaining things, he came and did something that took only 5 mins. so that we had enough water for the critters, etc.
He said that he did call the other guy, and that he'd come on Tues. or Wed. to get the pipes up to the water tanks.
Though, Ds then has to be able to hook it up for us. So, hopefully, we will have water until then?
I am wondering if I can impose on the guy doing the pipe to fill my water jugs in town? I would pay for his time, of course... That would be a big help, as Ds shouldn't lift them yet anyway...
We'll see, I'll keep you posted.
I am careful about things which are too hard to chew, also.
I agree, re: breakfast! :-)
Thank you!
