I was looking at rows and rows of Easter candy while I shopped for 'normal food' (lol! Things like Frankie's pumpkin, and Ds's chicken.) and I realized that some tempted me, and others didn't at all.
Under the temptation heading, were the malt ball eggs, and the chocolate filled eggs. You can't go wrong with chocolate, and I happen to really like malt. I used to add malt powder to my homemade ice cream shakes sometimes. Which effectively turned them into malts!
I haven't eaten jelly beans in a while, but I used to eat them once a year...probably at this time of year. I like certain flavors of Jelly Bellies quite a bit.
And, finally, since I do like marshmallows, I would eat a Peeps if it was put in front of me, though I can't remember buying them, except on deep sale after Easter. Right now, I wouldn't mind a mug of cocoa with marshmallows on top!
How about you? Don't forget that, if you want any of the typical Easter candies for yourself, or someone else, but just to eat, not for a basket, you can get them at the store, and probably online too, for a pretty good deal right after Easter. Here, the stores either just discount them, or put all of the Easter items (candy, shaped cake pans, stuffed bunnies, etc.) in a big open container on sale.
Whatever day that we shop, I will probably get Dh some Cadbury eggs. I remember the first time I had one of the large ones with the filling. Wow, that was different! Now, they also have the tiny ones, as well.
How about you? Do any of the seasonal candies tempt you? Are there some that you wouldn't touch with a 1,000' pole?
