Dh is struggling without his caffeine. He doesn't do well with it physically, but feels the need for the boost with having slowed down. So, he gave it up completely. We will see if that lasts, as when he's having heart issues, he drinks some to improve how he feels. The cardiologist says that's okay in smaller amounts.
Personally, I like how he is when he doesn't drink it. Believe it or not, he's more focused without, and also less forgetful. I did not know that caffeine affected memory, nor that it unfocused you. I always thought that it improved focus. Not in this case. So, he does more, which isn't better for his back...but it's not what we need to get done, and have agreed to do. He just disappears and does 'stuff' in the yard. So, in his case, stopping it, at least for now, has been a relief.
Have you noticed any signs as I've described with your coffee? Or, any physical affects to your bp, heartbeat, heartburn, etc. etc.?
Now *that's* a breakfast! Wow and mmmm!
I had breakfast, too, for the first time in some time, and loved it.
We still had the vegetables that I cooked and froze, in bags in the freezer. We had some meat to use, also. So, first I cooked onions last night for dinner, and added in the last thawed ground meat. Once brown, I added pre-cooked/frozen broccoli spears, pre-cooked/frozen celery, and pre-cooked/frozen collards cut small.
While cooking, I added some fresh sliced ginger, salt, pepper, and onion and garlic powders.
Once everything was hot, I added a scrambled egg (I know.) then, I added rice that we'd made a couple of hours previously, and cooked until fried rice-ish.
That was our dinner. Ds said that it smelled like a restaurant in here. :-)
1/2 went into the 'fridge, and this morning I put it into the little oven. When it was hot and browning a little, I ate it, and have been happy since! :-)
There's enough for 2 more days!
I'm super happy about how the pre-cooked vegetables have worked out. I have one left of everything. It's made it so that, not only does nothing go bad, but by pre-sauteeing everything and dividing it out, I have pretty much instant meals later in the month. Or a side, if we prefer. In the past, when not freezing an actual meal, but a vegetable, I've either frozen fresh produce, or par-boiled, not sautéed and frozen each on it's own.
It's funny that you should say that about the sun. That's the reaction that I get. I'm glad that you we able to accomplish some things that you've wanted to do!
Good news on you bs numbers!
That sounds wonderful! I enjoy having a number of teas, also. Yours sound really good.
Have you noticed a change in your numbers when you drink green tea, or are you going by what it is said to do? I have green tea also, but have no proof that anything is improving. I just trust the studies, and am happy that something that I like is supposed to be good for me, lol!
Thank you, have a great day! :-)
