My family, also. My dad mostly made burgers.
And, yes, I do like chili and onions on them. One of the best ones that I had, with those ingredients, was at Pinks.
I didn't actually go there to eat. We had walked several miles, pushing oldest Dd's stroller because our car was in the shop, to pay our rent on time, which took our last $'s. Car repairs weren't cheap, even then.
On the way home, we found $20. in the gutter (how much was $20. worth in today's economy, in 1978?) right in front of Pinks. It was past dinner time, and I was hungry, so we ate there. We had their hotdogs, with chili and onions, and I *think* a cream soda.
If you are going to have one, they are delicious from the bbq, you're right!
