However, if it tasted good, that's the important thing!
I ate the last bag of stir fry starter last night, too. Will want to replace it soon.
What I did, because it was small, and more meat than veges, was take some of each of the veges that I cooked to make the meals planned, and added to it in the pan. Then, used leftover rice to make a fried rice out of it. Enough for both of us. I have a little left, just enough for my lunch.
I'm going to make Dh a chicken sandwich. We got him 2 loaves of bread for this month, and put it in the freezer. It is super expensive, and non-allergenic to me, I can handle it, but was on sale.
Now, Ds is having issues with it. If he decides not to eat it, we will take in his loaves, and Dh will be doing well. He has canned chicken and some tuna, so he won't miss meals, and it will help keep his weight on, I hope.
Looking at recipes inspires me. With my cookbooks mia, I rely on photos online. I sometimes find them when I go to get recipe links for Ds.
Absolutely it's soup weather! Would you share your tamale soup recipe after you make it? :-)
Good luck with the pork chops! When he pan cooked them (vs. oven cooking.), my dad would make a sauce with apricot jam and so forth, to cook them in. Whereas my Dmil would use Italian herbs and chicken broth. I've done them with tomatoes, even. There are so many directions you can take. Just keep tasting, and add flavor as needed - you've got this! :-)
