I use frozen veggies so par boil to thaw and slightly cook. Plus if I didn't the frozen veggies could still be partially frozen (yuck)
Fresh stuff like onions don't get cooked just added to the rice with everything else.
I prefer shredding as chicken was chopped in large frozen pieces... just my taste.
I just add fresh, canned, frozen veggies. I haven't had any bamboo sprouts or water chestnuts etc. If I had peas would be one of the few other veggies.
No celery. Don't like unless in soup etc.
No egg.... Unless at a Chinese restaurant. Lol
