I didn't make may breaded items. so can't compare my version with either the store bought or the online bought.
Marie Callender's Pot pies, chili and other faves are the best I've had... I loved going to her restaurants in LA. I made a decent chili but not for years.
Egg rolls are another item I prefer to buy from the store... but they are not in TX.
I went to only one Pizza place in LA over by LAX tucked up amid big businesses. It was the go to for all the college kids and hippies from Westchester and Inglewood in the 60's
Huge pizzas and they were to die for. I've tried to remember it's name. The only one that comes up is Shakey's. That's not it as none on Aviation Blvd.
Oh well. I doubt I will get back to CA so will live with what is available.
