...don't want to make them good to eat in soup, maybe you could take a piece of chicken or meat in a pot, put in them, any other celery - fresh or frozen, some onion and carrot, and cook for 3 hrs. Strain, add any vegetables, meat/poultry/sausage/shrimp that you'd like to make into an off the cuff soup from. Beans would be good, too! Or, save the broth for another day/purpose. You could cook rice in it, for example, or....?
Well, you could make gravy...with or without meat or sausage, and serve it over them. That might hide their character?
You could split them and spread them with butter, garlic or garlic powder, and even some herbs, so that they become garlic biscuits, and have with soup, salad, etc.
Small pizzas with a paste-based sauce?
Good luck with making the room for tomorrow's delivery! I keep having to double check the day of the week this week, too. I don't know why, but it has been the case.
