That's probably why you were exposed to it.
I wouldn't mind it, but grew up with the other type, so that's where my memories are, and my taste buds, too. It's amazing how much our taste buds are formed in our youth. Sometimes to things that we will forever love, and sometime we strongly dislike something that we were given, and never change that, either.
Though, there's a 3rd category, and that's what our mature taste buds appreciate, that our childhood taste buds didn't.
For example, as a small child, I didn't eat sour cream, or sweet pickles. I changed from that.
But, I didn't eat bologna, or canned spaghetti, and still don't. Those were foods that my sister liked. Blech.
As for the happy foods of my childhood, that I still enjoy very much, that's pretty much everything else! ;-)
Well, not really. If I tried harder, I'm sure there's a handful that fit into one of the other 2 categories.
I think that you should get some, too, if you can find it.
