I looked them up and new to me. I even check Japanese soup balls. My middle brother was stationed in Japan and married my Exsil who is Japanese. Once back in Calif we went to Japanese markets downtown and I can't recall soup balls there or in any of the foods she made, and she made lots of dishes... but still no soup balls.
It looks like the Chinese Soup Balls are much bigger then the Japanese Soup balls. More on the size of Matzo Balls.
Cherpumple - Hummm, Sounds like a cake turducken.
Which is a Chicken in a duck and both in a turkey. A very big Thanksgiving meal in TX, MN and all states between.
As was turkeys boiled in oil over an open fire - hopefully outside and away from anything. Lots of fires started by Turduckens.
The cake doesn't sound very appetizing. But that's my taste buds speaking. Apparently both were created by men. At least a cake is safer.
The pockets sound good but I'd rather not have ice cream that looks like spaghetti. Thankfully my kids and GKids are all grown up - sorta. LOL
People are so creative. I have had Turducken and it's a lot of food unless it catches fire or explodes - which it often did. LOL
I like your pocket idea. 8-)
