Whew, I got food today! It's been a while. I literally gave up on dinner Friday night, there was so little to choose from.
But, today Ds went shopping, and I got my typical veges for making broth, etc...celery, onions, and broccoli.
Also, I got a small cabbage, and they had oranges back in, and yellow kiwis. Dh likes those, so I got him a pair.
For meat, I got chicken for broth, and tenders for chicken and broccoli.
And, a piece of meat called flat. They said that it's shoulder. Flat iron steak is, so that might be true? It may need slow cooking to keep it from being tough, but if that's true, then we'll shred it, and have burritos with it!
The buffalo ranch was supposed to be getting in roasts, etc. a few days ago, but they never did.
Mostly, it was 'stuff' such as water, and a couple of things for Dh.
I did get some of those small plastic containers with lids made by....maybe Ziploc? I am going to start freezing eggs so that in the winder, when the chickens lay less, and they become difficult to get again at the store, I'll have enough to make corn bread, pudding, etc. The few fresh eggs that we'll get, can be used for fried, hard boiled, or scrambled.
Oh, and I got yogurt and blueberry jam to eat it with. Antibiotics.
I am hoping to make some food to freeze, and a couple of tasty dishes, just because.
