This was mostly a very good food week.
One night, I made the gingered chicken and broccoli. I've decided that, until we tire of it, or can't get the ingredients, it will be on the weekly rotation, because we really do like it, and it makes 3 or 4 lunches for me, or a dinner if Dh wants something like his tortellini's.
We also had spaghetti, which is something else that we can eat weekly...well, pasta of some type.
We had eggs and spiced masa one night. The fresh eggs win me over to it. Plus, it's available...for free!
I'm holding out for tortillas tonight! Dh made me a bet on something, and I said that, if I was right, I wanted him to make me tortillas. Well, I make the dough, and will help shape them if he wants me too, but he had to sit and tend to them until we have a pile of them! lol! The extras will make chips!
We dug out my pressure cooker, so will take the piece of meat that's thawed, and cook it into taco meat for the tortillas!
We'll see if that's going to happen tonight, but he will look bad if he doesn't pay up!
Tuesday is pickling day. I'm starting with carrots. I have a couple of tall jars, so will make spears in them. The rest, Ds suggests crinkle cut rounds. I don't think that I have a crinkle cutter anymore, but they will be good anyway...I hope!
I made 6 blueberry popsicles. They would go perfectly after tacos...just sayin'! lol!
If the blackberries are ripening this week, I'll make small batches of things from them.
