Two days ago I took an avocado out to thaw and did the same with the bread. Today the avocado was soft enough and I had Avocado toast on Asiago bread I found in the freezer. For breakfast.
Lol so I looked at the Ciabatta and grabbed my container of pizza sauce. I started from scratch: 1 can of tomato paste, olive oil, cracked pepper, salt, oregano, grated parm cheese - grated mozzarella, sliced provolone and diced onions on top.
I sliced the Ciabatta length wise. Then cut off 1/4 from the end.
Smeared both pieces of bread with sauce from edge to edge, sprinkled diced onions, topped with Mozzarella, tore 1 slice of provolone into pieces lay on top of moz. Placed in toaster oven using broil till cheese meltedd and bubble up.
Snipped fresh basil, tore in bits put on top of cheese. Cut each section in half....YUMMY!!!!
I'm eating better. But when I have a meal with meat I over do any carbs.last night fried chicken breast and fried chunk potatoes. The russets are small and I ate a lot of them. The chicken was coated with shake & bake. I ate the potatoes as I cooked them. Applesauce for dessert.
Very filling then had a few Good n Plenty for dessert. Its been a very long time since I had those. Only ate a few.
Felt very satisfied. 8-)
Since I put my new rug down I want a desk or bureau thingy to act as a separator between kitchen& dining room. I'm not in a hurry so will find what I want eventually.
The plants are growing great guns. I have a sturdy trash bag to transplant to tomorrow. Now where will I put them,?
