I'm hoping that Ds and family will come over once we have settled into the new house, and corona is behind us. But, it will be what it will be...
Yes, I did know that about temperature. But then, I had Ds over my shoulder for years informing me of everything, lol! I miss my little parrot cooking buddy. :-)
I'm glad that the pie came out in the end!
Yes, that style of burner will do that.
The S&P shakers are a great idea for incense!!
Generally, I grow potatoes in the garden, where the sun is from late morning until evening.
I know that they are considered a cool weather crop - look at where they are from! - but they've done well here.
If where they are gets good light, even when the sun has moved away, then it will probably be a good place for them.
Can you hill the dirt up on them a couple of times through their growing season? You don't want the potatoes near the surface to develop too much solanine, which is the green that makes people sick.
You know what, I don't grow mine in pots. There may be special considerations that I haven't thought of. Let me find something on it.
Okay, here we go!
Pots
I hope that it's useful! :-)
I'm glad that everything is growing well. I know that they feed us, but sometimes I think that a garden feeds the soul as much, if not more, than the body!
It's great that you are eating better. I love your deliveries, but yes, some raw hamburger meat is needed for other meals.
That's a shame about the Sprite, but you immediately adjusted.
I agree on rugs, in general. When I got the area rugs for the new house...when was it, 3 years ago?...I tried to keep my ideas for décor in mind when buying, so that the rugs didn't clash with my ideas for the areas.
The dip sounds especially good to me, as do Doritos, which I've always loved. Mind you, they only had the original flavor at first then, followed by the cheese ones. So, I've never tasted the others.
I made Dh some quesadillas a couple of weeks ago. Once I get him more cheese, we should repeat that. Was your cheesy tortilla similar?
There we go with sweetish carbs again. What is with that?
How handy to have the roasted and frozen potatoes!
Oooo, I'd almost wish for hot weather to have those hotdogs, and ice cream! :-)
I'm sorry about your bp, but it's understandable with the heat/humidity. Have you been taking the bp pills?
I was unhappy yesterday...this is sort of food related, because it involves eggs...yeah, that's the ticket, lol!
I've been telling Ds that he needs to be at the chick place when the store opens on Friday. He asked me if they were coming in on Thursday to go on sale Friday, or if they were actually coming in on Friday, because he couldn't sit there and wait 1/2 the day if they needed to be counted, etc. before being allowed to be sold.
So, I called to ask. Apparently, they are actually coming in Friday morning, meaning that we can't tell what time they can be bought.
I had asked, when I had originally called, if I could reserve some by phone, and the guy in charge of animals said No.
Well, yesterday, while trying to figure out about when they would be actually sold, the woman...because the in-charge guy wasn't there...said that, well, first the in-charge guy would be calling the people who had reserved their chicks....! Argh!!!!!!! And no, she wouldn't let me reserve any. :-(
So, now I don't know if what I want/need will be there once we go there, or if we can even figure out when Ds would be able to go there. He can't sit there all day long, he has to go to work. :-( Phooey. So, good thoughts would still be appreciated.
But, as for food that we can get right now, I hope that we all cont. eating better and better! :-)
Oh, I almost forgot, speaking of food and health...I got 2 packets of kombu. I used to snack on it all the time as I liked it, and it's so rich in just about everything. Yeah, a snack, lol!
