I turned on the pan and got it hot - set at 4. I tossed them in the pan - let them brown a bit then added a cup or two of h2o till I could fork them. Turn it off let them sit till cooler.
I ended up with 6 quart freezer bags full of cooked potatoes. And I finally have room for them. Yeah - I have been eating. lol
I did discover that new potatoes do freeze better due to the makeup and enzymes in the meat.
So my apologies... Do not freeze russets do freeze new potatoes. LOLOL Live and learn.

I have whole small cooked russets ready for slicing, dicing, smashing, etc. ANd for soup of course. LOL I also chopped a gigantic brown onion and froze all that a few days ago. So I am soup ready.
