(This is the weekly post where you share your week of food. Did you have anything that really made your week, such as your favorite soup, a lunch out, or maybe you had something new? Find a new food product? A new appliance? Please do share!)
We had a mixed week again, but this week when I made eggs, I made a kind of egg salad, with deviled egg flair, and really enjoyed that.
It was too hot to cook besides everything else!
Yesterday, after holding off on buying certain things all month, I did 'big' shopping. Meaning that I got water, paper towels, some of the olives that I take pills with (on sale for $1. a can.), oranges, and onions.
They didn't have broccoli, but I did get a jar of blueberry jam, and a jar of honey.
The price of toilet paper, by the way, has gone up a lot in our store, yet the generally expensive brands of paper towels were on sale for less than 1/2 price.
I sprung for chicken, and hope that it's fine.
We even got everyone who eats it 1 1/2 qts. of ice cream, because it was on sale for $3 for that size, then there was a coupon for 50 cents more off, etc. 2 people got their cartons for $2. (S'mores, chocolate truffle, extra chocolate, or vanilla.), and one person got theirs for free because that was part of buying 3 cartons, which Ds did for everyone that he shops for. 4 households got ice cream!
Anyway, it's not tons of food, but the chicken, onions, and oranges I can work with! And, I needed the jam, honey, and water.
How was your food week?
