Ds made rice a couple of weeks ago, using the pasta method...which is to say a pot of water, cook and drain.
He said that he overcooked it a little, which none of us cares for, so he tried it again, cooking it less, and he said that it came out perfect. Light, and fluffy, rather than starchy. I think that he rinsed it first anyway.
He's made it twice since, and is happy with cooking it that way.
