Is the crust awful because it's too hard? Another solution might be to crush your own grahams, adding a bit of butter - the kind that you use should be fine - and a tad of sugar. Put it into whatever size/shape pan fits into the toaster oven. In L.A., when my stove was being replaced, I made sweet pies, and pot pies, in a bread pan. :-) On the other hand, they do have the frozen pie dough, as you mention. I can see the problem with the pork. It sounds like it was annoying/challenging overall. Not enough to give up, but just enough to aggravate. Sheesh. I hope that things pick up, in a good way, even before the 11th!
