Honey mustard is terrific with meat! I used to make a long, thin, strip of steak that I ribboned onto soaked bamboo skewers.
I seasoned them with salt and pepper, and Dh would start to bbq them. Then, 1/2 way through cooking, he would 'paint' on my honey-mustard sauce and finish cooking them.
We should do that again, it's been several years. Enjoy your meal, it sound great, especially after having marinated overnight!
I will keep you posted, thanks! I have a few items to give Ds when I see him next, then we just wait.
The items are stuffed animals, and a soft rattle.
The rattle has been totally crocheted over, even the handle, so that it's soft (the 'wool' is actually soft bamboo.) and looks like a lamb.
And, the animals are going to be one to sleep with when she gets a little older, of course, one to take out with them for her, and one...well, not sure, just because!
The sleeping 'doll' is a dog, and he has longish limbs, so that he can be dragged around by the baby when she gets a little older. The taking out doll is a smaller version of the sleeping dog, and the last one is a small elephant with little stars all over him.
The reason that they have various patterned bodies, is because the company makes children's clothing, and to prevent waste, they make little stuffed animals with the leftover fabric. You can get them randomly, or they can send you a photo of that day's animals, and you can choose.
Because I have the same animals here, for when the baby is here, especially as she gets a little older, we have different patterns on our little dog and elephant. My elephant has lavender stripes, and my dog has a red outfit and is brown...their little dog is lighter, and has a different colored outfit. Blue?
Also, instead of the dog to sleep with, I got the cat version for here. Being the one to have the time to pick out the items has it's perks!
Oh, and keys. It won't be long until she is teething. About 5 months, if I'm remembering correctly. They look a little different than the keys that my children had as little ones. They are still different colors, but they seem a tad larger, and they are blunter. Maybe children were falling with them in their mouths? Mine were fine, but perhaps other children weren't.
Anyway, with the addition of the mobile, which Ds picked up already, stuffed critters, and keys, I think that they are set until she goes to college!
Have a great food week!
