I think, a buttermilk pancake. At iHop I liked their French pancakes, but that was 40 years ago, so that's probably changed.
What is your favorite pancake topping?
I like maple or berry syrups. We used to always have boysenberry syrup in the house, then, after we moved here, I began making my own blackberry syrup. I liked butter, too.
I also cook up various fruit toppings when I have fruit lying around, such as blueberry topping, or apple-cinnamon.
Favorite waffle topping?
I like jam or syrup. I'll just spread it on, but the best is when it's heated/melted first. I used to fill all of the holes with butter, too.
And then, off of breakfast for a moment, I like chicken salad with waffles. It doesn't sound good, but surprisingly, is.
Also, I've loved whipped cream and strawberries. I know, but still...!
How do you like your French toast made? (milk and egg separate or mixed together? What type of bread? Any special add-in's?)
I usually dip in one and then the other, but have done it both ways.
Most often I made it with white bread, but I like it with others, too, such as country loaves, challah, and even sour dough.
I have added a little cinnamon into the milk/egg, and vanilla.
What do you like on your French toast?
A lot of powdered sugar, spiced a bit, if possible. Syrup.
What are your favorite things to put on toast? Is it the same at home as in a restaurant?
I like most things on toast...
cinnamon sugar - I loved it with butter, jam or jelly, cream cheese, etc.
Also, savory foods. I think that my non-breakfast list might even be longer!
Not so much for breakfast, but I love toast a la goldenrod, which is to say hot toast with lots of butter, mashed yolks from hard boiled eggs - still hot is best yet - over that, and a sprinkle of salt and pepper on top of that.
The big difference, is that at home I use jam, but in restaurants I spread it with jelly. I especially liked those individual packs of mixed fruit jelly.
What drinks do you like with breakfast foods?
I mostly drink water with food these days, but there was a time when I loved a glass of orange juice with my breakfast. I would still drink it, if I could, but I can only have a limited amount.
In cold weather, a cup of tea is nice, too.
