While I know of Twining's, of course, I'm not sure that I've ever drunk it. Before I bought alternative brands, I had stuck to my grandmother's Lipton choice.
I wonder if I could drop a small piece of freeze dried ginger in with green tea, and get a similar flavor? Or, do you think that they use ginger oil?
Coconut? I've never heard of coconut with tea before. That's very different sounding. Please let us know how it is.
When I have planned iced tea in the past, or any type of drink with ice, I always make the cubes out of the drink. So, for tea I make tea, cool it, put it into ice cube trays, and freeze. It allows you to enjoy the drink, even on a hot day, without watering it down as the ice cubes melt.
I hope that you see a positive difference in your blood pressure.
A liter a week for the flavored water isn't bad at all.
I'm hoping for the larger water to work out for you. It's something that I've considered for the new house, but it's too early to even look into it, I think. Good luck!
Hmmmm, favorite tea flavors?
Well, I liked a cranberry that I used to drink, I make a mint tea that I like, and I really like warrior tea. It's got spices in it, as well as black tea.
I love my version of Chai. For some reason it's very relaxing, and I don't know why. It's more than the sum of it's parts, and there's no tea in it. I bring a small pot of water to a simmer. In it I put a tea spoon (like a tea ball, only it's more like a spoon.) filled with a small piece of a cinnamon stick, a few cardamom seeds, and in the pot, a small slice of fresh ginger. I don't think that I'm forgetting anything.
I swirl the spoon around for a while, which in itself is relaxing...very zen, and when the flavors are infused to my liking, I pour it, and add a little sugar.
Generally, I don't put sugar in my herbal-type teas, but I used vanilla infused sugar in this one. I take a vanilla bean, and blend it with some sugar, then put it into an old marmalade jar that I have.
The slight sweetness, and vanilla, are important to this tea, I think.
And, of course, I like both black and good green tea.
I'm always willing to try, or make and try, new tea flavors, and look forward to having an herb garden again, to do that. :-)
Sometimes I like to drink medicinal teas, or feel that they are necessary, but I can't always say that they are my favorites, taste-wise!
