It seems as if some of us had some time with family, if not a lot, but that it was pleasant. I'm glad that you did also.
I'm so glad that Dd enjoyed her gifts and cards! :-)
Did they buy, or bake, the empanadas?
That's funny that I didn't think of it this year, but last year, and the one before, I got Dh some Royal Danish cookies. I couldn't have gotten them this year, but I didn't even think of them. I sometimes get them for certain people to share...if there's a group in an office, for example.
Your Boxing Day meal sounds pretty darned good.
*That's* what I want to do in the new year...have daily tea! I knew that I would think of something else. No caffeine, though. I'd love it, but won't tempt Dh, as he has a hard time abstaining from caffeine. But, I make a Chai that we love, for one. We used to always drink it between 2-4, and it really refreshed us, with a small muffin, usually.
Also, other non-caffeine teas. I'd love to have black and green teas, but ginger, peppermint, and such, will do for now. I think that the ritual, and just taking the time to slow down and enjoy it, are nearly as beneficial as the tea itself.
Dh and I have those weeks more now, too. We eat so-so fallback meals a little too often, I think. I still try to balance the protein and carbs, but that doesn't always happen, either.
I will eat nearly anything, if garlic bread is involved! :-)
Ah, so our Christmas dinners weren't so different! I'm glad that it didn't burn!
Thank you! Yes, we are both looking forward to a Dgc to have around and interact with. :-)
