I think if you gave Montoya some of these P4 teams with their talent, he would kick butt
the saying, can they coach better with their theirs than the present coach can with theirs.

Me thinks coach Montoya at North is much more likely to leave for a "p" job than Walters. North can't keep him a secret much longer.

I don't want to minimize the fall season, but I have the feeling they can get by without Amir, however solid he is, for 3 months
but maybe they'll make a new hire
for Amir, the $$$$ is in WVB, not men's aside from the very top positions in MVB. pretty sure USC will sort out the long term thing in December
as for Tyler that team has been up and down, yet has beat Pepp & San Diego and in real position to make a run at the WCC title with no conf tournament, granted he's gone 0-4 vs the Big West lol. who knows, would not put Tyler past plying for the USC job should it open, but can't see that unless. someow Tyler pulls a miracle and wins the WCC. I mean two years at St. Mary's so pretty sure it's time to move on!
could definitely see Walters at Cal Poly getting recruited for some very good positions, if they were to repeat last year, even though she'd hate to leave. Tyler would salivate at the thought to take over USC.

USC has hired Amir Lugo-Rodriguez as an "interim assistant" for their women's volleyball program. I'm assuming this is related to the USC WVB head coach being on personal leave...they've hired two new assistants since the announcement that Brad Keller was going on leave.
So, I'm assuming Amir is gone from the LBSU MVB program. I can't imagine MacRae would allow Amir to go help USC out and then come back for the men's season at LBSU. Although I do remember MacRae was going to be an assistant coach for the men and womens volleyball program when Hildebrand was first brought back as HC. I'm pretty sure that hairbrain plan was scuttled by HR as a California state employee can't have two state positions at the same time.
This is a lousy time for Amir to do this. The men are in their fall practice schedule and they have a lot of new players to work into their rotation. Can MacRae actually hire someone (right in the middle of the school year) to come in and replace Amir right now? I'm feeling like the men's program is starting off the season on the wrong foot.
Lastly, I can't help but get my dig in at the aforementioned Tyler Hildebrand. I'm guessing he'll be lobbying hard to replace Keller at USC since everyone is assuming Keller is not returning. Tyler was an assistant there so they know him.
