Continued service pressure and having Hamaker bounce back are the keys for LBSU. I expect WSU to play much more consistent and not make so many errors tonight.
I would also like to see Johnson have another good night so her confidence builds going into conference.

it has to be frustrating to outhit Beach so much first set and a half, and yet Wazzou could not create seperation
about 3 times early 2nd set Wazzou got 3 point leads and every time they could not extend the lead either service error or some way Beach was getting the ball to the floor on the Wazzou side. Was a really good grind, until we finally strung together some serving runs. Again, Izzy has a really hard flat precision placed serve. A lot of our serves seem like they could go a few inches out but the other team has to touch them and we do a great job with placement where it keeps the setter off the net.
we'll see if Wazzou can at least cut down their serving errors, pretty sure they were embarrassed to come home & lose that way in a match that had to feel like they were better hitting wise. & then the Long Beach side has trouble terminating yet all the players are just so happy lol!! I expect a brawl tonight.

I did find it odd that they interviewed Natalie after the match and now I know why. Not a good look but they need to do what they have to do to get up for tonight's match.
Glad to see the team keep the pressure on Wash St at the service line. Really had them off balance through key stretches.
LBSU did not have a great night and still won in a sweep. Hopefully Hamaker bounces back tonight because I expect WSU to play much better.
Really enjoyed seeing Johnson pound the ball and just have fun out there. She keeps getting better as the season goes on and that is a great sign for conference play.
Cal Poly's loss to Santa Clara at home was a head scratcher. I expected them and UCSB to have decent out of conference seasons and both lost some matches they should have won.
Maybe a win tonight could move LBSU's RPI below 30 before the freewill begins, win or lose in conference. Tonight will be tough as I expect WSU to serve much better and not commit so many errors.

with Cal Poly losing a reverse sweep to Santa Clara, there's not a single Big West team in the top 150!
The Big West RPi won't be bad, it's looking horrific this year. I'm sure by conference UCSB, Cal Poly, & Sac State will be solid and tough opponents along with Northridge, but any chance of having 4 top 100 RPI matches in the Big West is looking grim. Heck, might be only 4 top 150 matches.
regardless, one game at a time now for the rest of the season.

got up big 3rd set
serving was just magnificant, our receiving tailed a bit 3rd set getting aced 3 times
Reagan put in former Wazzou player Haumea Marumoto at the end of the 2nd set with the set on the line no less and she got aced, but ended up killing set point, man got to love the confidence to let her in against in her former team under pressure, nice thing, and pretty gutsy for Reagan,
From mid 2nd set on Beach dominated, I really do think this team frustrated Wazzou in to the loss with the precision serving and just grinding we were being outhit bad...but winning lol..
really good win, tommorrow may be a different story, more of a grind, maybe some more soft serves thrown in. won the serve battle with a net 11 and only 4 service errors with 6 aces. that's just superior stuff
tomm will be interesting, Wazzou will be out for blood, really nice road win to keep backing up solid wins
7-2, I did not think this team would even be 7-3 for non conference
& Johnson just a career night pounding on the left when the Wazzou block was giving Hamaker fits
what a team!

25-22, then -19
close in both to 17, then Kendal went on serving run 1st set, Hamaker with a serving run 2nd set
left sides doing the work, team is grinding out points with Hamaker hitting %!
winning from the service line, again keeping Wazzou setter off the net and just finding ways to win points
team is a real solid unit, Wazzou I think is getting frustrated as they are out hitting us, but not scoring enough, lol
good stuff, now see if they can close it out. have a feeling Wazzou will respond well, they do not have their volume hitter who played vs Oregon, but they still have a tough block
