Varga signs with a team in Shizuoka who is in the top league in Japan. He's joining Taylor Averill, an American middle blocker who was on the USA Olympic team in 2024 and maybe on the 2028 team as well.

Earlier, Diaeris McRaven, signed with VC Nagano, another team in Japan's top pro league. If I remember correctly, each team has a cap of 2 foreigners but McRaven may count as Japanese because of his mother.

They should arrange a 49er reunion over there on a day off. DeFalco is also playing professionally in Japan and maybe there are others.
