I am sure that schools are aware of the benefits and dangers of AI in education.

I have a friend in school. He completes the math assignments and then uses AI to check his answers. It not only tells him what answers are wrong but how to calculate each answer. He then tries again to answer the questions he missed following the AI’s step-by-step instructions. To ensure that he understands the formula, he can test himself on sample questions that AI generates. There is no way a professor could spend that amount of time with each student, so AI is almost like having a personal tutor. FWIW, my friend must still take his math tests in person, which is the bulk of the final grade, so he is graded on his work

For the record, I am old enough to remember when using a calculator to do math was considered cheating. Now students are required to use a calculator in math classes. I suspect AI will move in a similar direction.
