if you think the metrics on social media mean 0, then ok, you can believe that. do they directly translate into $$, no, but that is not the point

as to $600k, don't make too much of that number, I do not know the exact number. It's hard to believe MBB comes close to MVB though. the added sales/revenue for just the UCLA/Haw matches alone when factoring in eveerything probably approaches $200k. I'm not saying MVB makes money it's probably the closest Beach has to a revenue neutral sport though. WBB has to be horrible expenditure wise, having to fund relatively close to MBB and then having close to nil in attendance / revenues.

It would be inteeresting to see the ESPN+ metrics on viewerships for MVB, WVB, MBB, and Baseball and where the viewers are coming from.

doubt this AD would have any sort of transparency though on how he is channeling/shoveling whatever resources to MBB and the effects on other sports

bottom line though s Volleyball is the only attendance sport maintaining eyeballs and competing well, and if he screws that up, there won't be anything. and if this new President in insulated by a VP in everything other than gettting a budget report, Beach sports will have no chance at getting any leadership help.

I can guess MVB may bring in $600k in revenue?

I can't imagine MBB is bringing in anywhere close to that unless maybe the ESPN+ viewing of MBB is off the charts, lol

MVB 90,000, it's off the charts, has international following -

WVB 26,000, has increased a lot, respectable

MBB 13,000. wow it's beyond the pale. a lot of that is from the legacy of CDM,

BVB, 11,000 wow, think about that a sport that is almost the equal of MBB in social interest

I know those sorts of metrics are not everything, but they are very telling, and they are telling the AD something, whehter he can comprehend what it is I have no clue (like a lot of things)

You didn't address the question. It's central to everything Long Beach State faces in this new environment.

98% of NIL is going to Football or MBB. In mid-majors like LBSU which do not have Football--there are about 100 D1 institutions like that--there is the possibility of sports like volleyball actually having the possibility of having NIL available because they are not competing with Football. But WVB is not going to have that because there isn't much NIL available at all, and any NIL that there is is going to be going to MBB. And that is exactly what is happening right now.

So again, what can Natalie do to make a player like Logan stay? If it's not money it has to be something else tangible, like excellent training and development, on court success, an amazing campus and social environment and other accessible resources. She offers none of that.
