Hawaii had the better roster this year. One injury made LBSU go to their bench on the OH and as good as those players are they are not final four caliber pin hitters.

huge crowds, and that end of 2nd set seemed Gajek would shake down the Shakas, tremendous play to close out and seemed the tide woudl turn
stll the awful start, poor receptions and errors galore we could nt totally exerocise
the dents in Bloom's receiving game took hold, felt bad for him to end on a nervous passng nght for him.
still seemed that 4th set when Cryst bombed in a few to hold a lead and if could just get to a fifth, they'd prevail, but that later serving and Bloom could not pinpoint a reception and a horrendous overpass sealed things. can't really lay it on one kid especially with his play propelling some of the late April surge - needed a few better setting decisions and all around had a few too many serving errors.
valient effort by the team, just fell to a really physical Hawaii team in the end. still a lttle what would have been if a fully functionally Kandev was there
great season - Go Beach!, have to like this team and their perseverance and a lot of electric play and thunderous serving, and nice to have a huge Big West celebration in Pauley without the host whiners, sheesh get over it - had to endure a few UCLA fans mumbling about the call - I ran out of cheese for those entitled UGLY fans by the end of the Ball State match,
the best part of the event ended up and getting to see Ball State's Pat Rodgers play and just ball out - that kid was insane and the cruelty of sports was his foot fault end of 3rd set may have cost them a shot at a natty. happens to the best. The UCLA botanical gardens was a great treat. fun day in La-La land.
