Connelly is not Larson, or Aiken
Rama is not that clutch.
Thorne is a great attacker, not so much a blocker
Hawaii will likely win, just Irvine has solid receiving, and the MVB matches are 75% + on serve receive, Hawaii could pile up errors. I agree Hawaii serving like ours is another level, but Irvine could handle it better than we did with Bloom struggling and being pin pointed, and we to a bit close that 4th set in spite of it.
or Hawaii could overwhelm Irvine like we did in the last two matches vs them, but then they've seen it all by now, and just have to win 3 games out of 5. there will be a ton of Irvine fans there, it's socal

Are you serious? Hawaii has beaten the crap out of Irv twice this year. It's difficult to envision Monday being any different. Nobody is going to care much about this match other than a few million Haw fans and a few dozen Irv fans. A championship match with Haw and UCLA would have much more interest among men's volleyball fans. UCLA is going to have early season struggles without Rowan next season. Yeah they have Sean Kelly returning but you don't easily replace a player of Rowan's caliber.

VOlleyball fans got robbed of nothing.
they may have 10,000 again for Monday with Irvine hungry for a national championship
champions overcome adversity. they had two point blank attacks to win a match and failed, coaching staff has to have players ready for anything. for all the crap and hypocrisy with UCLA sports over the years, karma has a way of dishing out justice
Rowan is great, got his deserving award. UCLA was very good but also an offensive team that could be disrupted as the top teams that played them showed
crazy that an Irvine team that we dominated and Hawaii dominated may be able to squeak out a national championship. not that there'd be joy in going 3-0 vs the NC, lol

Volleyball fans got robbed of a potential great match between Hawaii and UCLA on Monday. Poor Rowan won't get a shot at his 3rd title because of that phantom call. He's already lost out on 4 straight when Moni took him to school last year. Still he will go down as one of the UCLA greats.

Hard to believe this dude is a freshman. He's going to be scary in 2 or 3 years. I knew we weren't going to be hanging any additional banners during Aidan's 4 years and it's dejavu with Jake setting. Big question for me is can Lucas Hell snag the starting setter spot next season. Hawaii with just too much firepower for us. Bloom and Hillis are good players but they aren't a healthy Kandev. Good luck to Varga and Woj in the pro's
