As for UCLA vs Irvine, UCLA thought they had the match won when they scored the 15th point, to take the fifth set, 15-12. However, Irvine challenged the match point, and won the challenge, correcting the score to 14-13. Irvine then scored the next three points to take the set, and the match, 16-14. Huge win for Irvine. Hawaii beat USC in four, so we have three Big West teams in the Final Four, along with Ball State.

not really, Loyola did hit really well, tooling blocks and hitting over and around our block
serving was huge, only 8 SEs, and 8 aces was the difference.
with Varga dialed in now, and a few less Service errors, the team is putting just enough more pressure to wilt teams
Larson I thought was just tremendous with his receiving today, he's at the level or even surpassing Briggs in level of play last month, teaking the lead on seam serves and passing great, taking a lot of pressure off of Pazanti
& Bloom again was great, hitting lots of spots as was Varga
next up in the semis vs. Hawaii or USC
with Ball State beating Pepperdine, Ball State is a legit national title contendor, they play IRvine and that'll be a toss up. UCLA dif choked away some swings late ine 5th set and lost a 8-4 lead, ouch. buh-bye Bruins
